I didn’t mean that Android phones will come for free, but your hassle of moving data like files, contacts and mails from iOS to Android will be easier soon. Update: Apple Inc has denied the rumor of iOS-to-Android switcher application.
According to a report by The Telegraph, Apple Inc is secretly developing a iOS to Android transfer app after facing stiff pressure from the European telecom providers.
Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller said to BuzzFeed,
“There is no truth to this rumor. We are entirely focused on switching users from Android to iPhone, and that is going great.”
The European telecom providers are feared of Apple iPhones’ dominance over the mobile market as well as over the telecom providers as well. According to these telecoms, Apple was not interested in helping iPhone users to switch from iOS phones.
The Telegraph claimed that a senior industry source has revealed that the Cupertino-based tech firm has privately agreed to build a simple tool to make switching easier by easily moving images, contacts, videos, emails and other important data from iPhones to Android smartphones. According to the telecom companies, only a small number of people were moving from iPhones to Android because of the hassle of transferring files and contacts from iPhone to Android.
The real intention of these telecoms is said to be gaining more power in commercial negotiations with Apple, if the strength of Apple Inc weakened by enabling easy switching options. If this software comes to the market, it would be a big blow for the company, as its CEO has always said about “keeping the consumers locked inside the iOS ecosystem.”
