BlackBerry Priv review: the device receives Marshmallow firmware update

A couple of months ago, BlackBerry rumored about their upcoming Android based Smartphone. Earlier, we thought that it’s just a false news. Later on, a purportedly leaked image spotted online shows a BlackBerry device that runs on the Android operating system. We started collecting more speculation on next rival and found lots of features. Back in October, the company announced their first Android Smartphone well-known as “BlackBerry Priv”.

Talking about the design, it looks like a 5-year old sliding smartphone. We are in the future BlackBerry, most of the people don’t prefer a physical keypad. Apart from outer part, BlackBerry Priv has got a pretty impressive features.

We never thought BlackBerry will adopt Android OS, while they have their own OS version (B10). The company has decided to expand their business by joining Google’s product. BlackBerry Priv will include all productivity and security features of Android.

The device includes Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz that boosts 3GB RAM. To take down the competitors, they added 18 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel selfie shooter. The company equipped 3410mAh battery to keep the device alive for longer hours. Internally, we have inbuilt 32GB storage that can be extended via MicroSD slot for up to 1TB.

 It has got a heavy security on application and data. When you try to hijack, the pre-loaded DTEK alert for the owners.

According to the Ron Louks (head of BlackBerry), “You will be blown away by some of the apps you use and how much data they actually access of yours,”

Currently, the device runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) operating system. BlackBerry Priv has got all supported hardware to Marshmallow. Some website reports, the company will soon roll out the latest firmware update to Priv.
