Here’s BMW’s most awaited M2 Coupe 2016

BMW M2 might just be better that what we thought it to be. As it happens, the car has been rated 4 stars out of 5, by Motor Trends. The reviews have come in after the first set of road tests after the launch of the car at the Detroit Auto Show 2016. The reviews clearly stated that the car is way better that what was expected of it after the initial unveiling.

According to the reports, the M2 series was expected to be slightly lower, but the BMW’s impressive twin turbo straight six M3 and M4. They have also opted for the M235i’s single turbo along with the pistons from S55. This is possibly what made the best out of the engine, making it sound like the BMW engine that we are always expecting. Along with this come 365 horsepower and 343 lb/ft of torque.

Many other reviews have stated the car to be better that the 1 Series M Coupe. Car’s pricing has also been a concern for a few. The car has been priced at $51,700, which is approximately $14,000 cheaper than the base price of M4.

The car is slightly heavy, but that does not come against the power it generates. During the road test, M2 clocked a comprehensive 4.2 seconds while it reached 0 to 60 miles per hour. It took approximately 12.78 seconds to reach 107.5 miles per hour for a quarter mile. The car is also 8.3 inches shorter than M4. Overall, it can be easily stated that BMW’s M2 is the perfect successor for the M4.
