On March 2018, Cobham plc. successfully launched the Sea Tel 9711 Triband maritime antenna system. The global communication company Viasat Inc. influences exclusive technology and competences of newly launched antenna system. Sea Tel 9711 Triband maritime antenna is among the world’s first and solitary 2.4m maritime stabilized antenna. Such advanced technology is capable of delivering variety of network band such as Ku band, C band and Ka band among others to enhance speed and quality of internet connectivity for commercial as well as government & defense maritime segments.

Sea Tel 9711 leverages radio frequency technology, supported by Viasat In., to enable feasibility across any satellite network with specified network band operating in any orbit. The sea Tel 9711 maritime antenna system developed based on the success of its base product Sea Tel 9711 IMA C/Ku System. The 9711 IMA C/Ku antenna enabled to enhance speed from 10MBPS to about 1Gbps. The newer Triband demonstrates better performance not only in terms of bandwidth potential but also empowers users to craft unconventional service packages. Such service packages offers to access multiple networks, frequencies, orbits which improves broadband connectivity by multiple times. This system is a core building block of next generation connectivity for maritime applications.
