Microsoft Band 2 latest updates includes music control and activity reminder

A year ago, Microsoft introduced their first fitness wearable device in the market. The first wearable device unlocked with a limited number of features. Hence, they failed to impress more workout consumer. Soon after the release of first fitness band watch, the company planned to unveil Band 2 with more innovative features and utilities.

Back in October, Microsoft unveiled Band 2 that meets all fitness goals and capable to track activities. While talking about the features, The second generation fitness device carries phone companion features. This allows to pair your favorite phone music collection on wearable device.

With the Latest update, Microsoft brings few more features in Band 2 device. It includes music controls, enhancement in exercise tile and moving notification panels. The company is working on user-friendly sensitive technology that allow to add innovative features. Hopefully, we can expect more add-ons in the upcoming updates.

Once you update wearable device to the latest version, music control is turned on by tapping on power button twice. Music control is the place, where you can manage all song list. It carries options like Pause/Play, volume racker, skip button and swipe option to change the current song track.

Moreover, music control option can also pair with any music application. We tested music control features in many online music providers. Some high end music application such as Google Play Music, Spotify, Gaana and Apple Music works without any issues on my Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. In addition, Microsoft also adds reminder features in the Band 2. As the name itself describes, the reminder alerts you every task that you added in the list. You can set them manually or turn it off during sleeping hours.
