Niantic Lab’s Pokemon Go has created history in the world of gaming, augmented reality, application usage and bringing together people who used to sit in their house and spend time on social media and other games. The game is attracting thousands of people every hour and became an International sensation since its release in a few selected countries.

The Pokemon Go game was first released in the United States, New Zealand and Australia on July 6 and garnered millions of active users. In a few hours, it has also entered into the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Italy and other countries. In the meantime, people from Canada, India, Japan and other Asian countries are desperately waiting for the official launch.

However, people from those countries where the game hasn’t been launched officially are downloading the APK file and playing the unofficial version of the game on their smartphones. Niantic Labs is officially releasing the game on a few countries every day slowly, and we have seen the server crashes also, due to the high volume of activities. All are waiting to catch the Pokemon.

According to John Hanke, the chief executive of Niantic Labs that developed Pokemon GO jointly with Nintendo, the game will be released in around 200 countries soon. But, the company isn’t revealing the exact release date, leaving gamers around the globe confused.

Surprisingly, South Korea and China, which are the world’s biggest gaming markets, have been left by the company so far. It’s been reported that Canada, Japan and South Korea will be getting the official version of Pokemon Go by the end of July 2016. India, Indonesia, Philippines and other Asian countries will be getting the official game around the same date. Still no Pokemon Go release date in India has been announced yet.

By the way, beware of fake Pokemon Go apps in Google Play Store, and the unofficial APK files, which may include the malware that can potentially harm your device and personal data.

The popular augmented reality smartphone game is compatible only to Android and iOS devices as of now, but we have seen the Microsoft guys testing it out on their future Hololens platform.
