No More iTunes Allowances For Kids, Tech Giant Apple Announced

The Cupertino giant, Apple has announced that the company is going to kill the iTunes Allowances from May 25. This might be the saddest news for the parents, who can set a certain amount of money from the credit card, which allows their child to buy something in the iTunes. Recently, the company posted a document on their official blog, which states that the company is about to stop all the allowance accounts on May 25. After May 25, if any, funding is left in the allowance account, it will be credited to the primary iTunes account associated with the allowance accounts.

Till now, Apple has not mentioned any valid reasons why they’re shutting down the system. If any funding is available in the allowance account, it can be used by the children to purchase applications on iTunes as of now. In the meanwhile, the company is about to start a new program, which will replace the Allowance program. The so-called Family Sharing program will let the family person to create a group and also allows them to share their purchases with their family members. The Family Sharing feature allows six people to share their contents with each others. Device after iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite supports the family sharing feature. All those family members in the group can access the shared content without any issues.
