Official Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Lenovo K3 Note announced

K3 Note smartphone has become a successful device for Lenovo that competes with similarly priced large screen phones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, Coolpad Note 3 and other budget devices. As the device comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed, millions of users are eagerly waiting for the next major firmware upgrade.

And now, through its Android update tracker page, Lenovo has officially announced the release date of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Lenovo K3 Note, which will be rolled out in September 2016. That means, if you have one, you will have to wait for 10 more months to receive the new software update.

Even the popular smartphones from Lenovo such as A7000 and A7000 Plus will also receive Android M in the same month next year. However, you shouldn’t forget that Google will also release its next Android version ‘N’ in August/September 2016.

Lenovo Vibe S1 and Vibe P1 are the fast one to receive the update, that too in June 2016. Lenovo has recently released Android 5.0 Lollipop for its A6000 and A6000 Plus in September 2015.

Launched in March 2015, the 5.5-inch Lenovo K3 Note comes with a 1080p FullHD display with 401 ppi (pixel density). MediaTek MT6752 1.7 GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD slot, 13-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel front camera are the key specs of the device.
