Ford has recently released ‘Ole Yeller’ that is based on the Shelby Mustang GT350. The recently released mustang by Ford is basically build based on the North American P51D Mustang. Ford’s new Shelby Mustang ‘Ole Yeller’ pays a tribute to the fighter plane that nowadays is very often seen during air shows. The fighter plane holds a prop plane record of coast to coast travel in duration of 5 hours 20 minutes.

The inspiration that Ford Shelby Mustang GT 350 has taken from the Ole Yeller is quite evident from the build of the car. The mustang has a yellow body color with black stripes that were a prominent part of the fighter plane. In fact, the interior of the car has plenty of logos and gauges inspired from aviation field that shows the inspiration. It also has a green under body lighting that is a specific feature taken from the iconic plane.

The Shelby Mustang GT350 boasts of a V8 engine delivering up to 526 hp and 429 lb-ft torque. It also has a six speed manual transmission, rendering the state of a beast to teh car. According to a statement by a Ford Board Member, Edsel B Ford II, “This year’s one-of-a-kind Ford Mustang honors two aviation greats, the iconic and historic P-51D Mustang fighter plane, and highly decorated fighter pilot, test pilot, and air show performer, Bob Hoover, who is referred to by many as one of the greatest pilots ever to have lived.”

It will be interesting to see how people like the Ford Shelby Mustang GT350 especially after the way that it has been drafted. The year 2016 has already seen quite a few beastly cars being released which might just make things all the more interesting.
