AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy Note 5 users seem to be the first in the U.S. who will receive the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow software update on their smartphones, as the AT&T’s beta testers with Note 5 are receiving the new firmware since yesterday. That means, the regular users from all US carriers are a few days far from updating their Note 5 to Android 6.0.

Samsung has unveiled its beta-testing program to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note 5 users a few weeks ago. The company wants to test any new OS update through the beta testers before making available to the general public.

According to the reports, around 200 beta testers from AT&T have been chosen to receive the update. The firmware is said to be in the package of 1.36GB in size and has a build date of February 2. One of the beta user has build number MMB29K.N920AUCU2BPB1. The Android 6.0 update will be drastically changing Samsung’s Touchwiz UI over Android.

Samsung has sent email instructions to the beta testers to download the Samsung app and then install the beta to Note 5. If you have an AT&T version of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (the SM-N920A model) and applied for the beta testing program, then please check your email. If you have not applied for the program, just wait for a few more days as something is brewing.
