Samsung Note 6 / Note 7 Round Up: What You Should To Know About Note 6 / Note 7

26 Feb 2019

Samsung stepped its foot on the mark of launching the flagship phones by debuting the release of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. The market’s focus has already been set on the future speculations of the company’s next releases after reviewing the debutantes. The next device speculated is called, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 / Note 7.

Name: The predecessor was Samsung Galaxy Note 5. So, for obvious reasons we assume the successor will be called as, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. But some rumors on the internet suggests that we might be wrong. Samsung could draw us off by breaking the series naming convention and name the successor as Samsung Galaxy Note 7. For now, until confirmation as well as the launch in August, let us refer the phone in both the names.

Release Date & Price: The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 launched on August, last year. Similarly, we are expecting the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6/7 in the same release cycle this year. It has been almost confirmed that in the USA the Samsung Galaxy Note 6/7  will hit the market for purchase on 15thAugust.

Design: The rumors suggest that Samsung Galaxy Note 6/7 will look similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge with an addition to a S Pen, a stylus. The leaks tells us that the dimensions of the phone will be 153.5mm x 73.9mm x 7.9mm, which will be the same as its predecessor. It is expected that it will be supporting dust and water resistant and iris scanner feature too.

Display: The phone might sport super AMOLED display, which will be about 5.7 inches. The resolution of the display should stick to the same in Samsung Galaxy S7 is all we wish for. The QHD delivering vibrant, punchy colors and deep blacks.

Camera: The configuration of the camera will be quite disappointing in the mega pixels range because the leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6/Note 7 will have a 12 MP camera on board offering “Super OIS Plus” or infrared based autofocus. There is no particular claim on the front camera configuration yet. But with the predecessors’ camera reviews, we are more likely expecting something better.

Hardware: With either a Qualcomm  Snapdragon chipset or Exynos chipset depending on the region, the Samsung Galaxy Note 6/Note 7 is expected to come with 8 GB of RAM and with the advanced chipset from both of the processors. Although, we don’t have a firm take on the RAM yet. It could be 8 or 6 GB. The storage variants as usual could range from 16 – 64 GB for the lite version of the phone with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB and 256 GB storage variants with 6 or 8 GB of RAM, which is heavily armored.

Software: There will be some improvements and refinements in the software of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6/Note 7, even if we are sure that it will be launched with Android Marshmallow 6.0 with the TouchWiz interface on the top of the standard OS with extra features that enhances and complements the presence of S Pen. SamMobile is also working on the aggregation of notifications of mails, social media notifications and messages in one place, known as, Samsung Focus, which is similar to BlackBerry Hub.

Battery: The successor to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 might feature the USB Type – C port, which was missed in the Samsung Galaxy S7, along with support USB 3.1 with the option for faster charging, to deliver HDMI and Display Port video signals. It is also assumed that the lite version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will feature 4000 mAh battery or 4200 mAh capacity with removable type mostly. Given that the flagship mobiles of other brands mostly come out with a non-removable battery, Samsung might also adapt to this popular trend. We have to wait for the potential leaks.

Conclusion: So far with what we have listed, we can expect the Note 6 to be called as Note 7, which it is all deduced from the leaks, which is taking over the internet. The iris scanner that is rumored is still not clear whether it will come along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 6/Note 7. The release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6/Note 7 is also expected in August 2016 along with the stylus pen that is present in Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The build of the phone could be flat or circular edged or it could also be the lite version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. Let us just hope the new release will bring in more improvements in camera, software and battery for sure as rumored.
