Last month Sony Mobile UK announced that Android Marshmallow update for its Xperia Z5 series as well as Xperia Z4 tablet and Xperia Z3+ handsets will be rolled out on March 7. But the latest news confirms that Sony Japan has already started rolling out the Android M software update to Xperia Z5 series today.

As the Turkey variant of Xperia Z5 has already received the Android 6.0 package in early-February and this Japanese package, it seems the date March 7 will be the global rolling out day for all Sony Xperia Z5 smartphones.

Apart from the official Marshmallow goodies, the new package will be improving the battery manager, more customizations in notifications area and a new app permission manager. Sony has featured a new Xperia Home launcher along with the Marshmallow update and also updated the camera app for latest software.
