Xiaomi Mi5 #TBR_Review: Here is Why You Should Buy Xioami Mi5

26 Feb 2019

After the successful release of various budget mobiles, now Xiaomi has entered into the battle of high-class specification segment with its Xiaomi Mi5. Yes, the device attracts everyone with its mind-blowing specification, as well as its affordable price. The unique body design of Xiaomi Mi5 looks more beautiful than Samsung Galaxy S7 and the beast configuration exceeds the performance than LG’s G5.

The main advantage of Xiaomi Mi5 will be its high-end hardware specification and its affordable price range. Well, the device comes with larger internal memory, which might be an advantage too. Apart from this, the device lacks LTE band 20 as well as few integration with Google Apps.

Release Date and Price: Moreover, the device launched a few weeks before by the Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi. The device can be imported for very cheap price, while compared to premium mobiles such as iPhone 6s Plus or Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. The premium variant of the device comes with a price tag of $499, and powered with 128GB of internal on-board storage and 4GB of RAM. The standard model with 32GB of internal memory and 3GB of RAM available for $410.

Design: Xiaomi Mi5, is a perfect build from Xiaomi and comes with glass-smooth ceramic rear case, which seems to be similar like Galaxy S7. In terms of look and feel, the device might look sharp in the front and feels little bit curvier, while using it. The company claims that the ceramic body will feel stronger than the metal case, found in other flagship models. Apart from this, the device comes in three different colors viz, white, gold and black edition.

Battery: The device comes with a battery capacity of 3000mAh, and it will be more sufficient for running the device for an entire day. While comparing to other device, the battery charging of the device is much quicker to charge and resist for longer time.

Display: Display is one of the main criteria to be considered in #TBR_Review. Xiaomi Mi5 display provides enough brightness for the daily day-to-day tasks. The quality of the display convinced me very much and reproduces deeper color, while viewing pictures and videos on the screen. The 5.15 inches of display with 428PPI makes the device to offer more color reproduction.

Software: The device comes with MIUI 7.0, a user interface found in Xiaomi models, which is based on Android Marshmallow. The most important thing to be considered is that, when you’re buying the device from a trader/retailer, Google Apps for the native region will be pre-installed in the device. But, in case of importing the device from China, this won’t allow you to install Google Apps in the device.

Camera: The device comes with 16MP of the rear camera with a Sony IMX298 sensor, which offers 4-axis OIS. This is the first smartphone which comes with 4-axis optical image stabilization and helps the users to make a perfect shot, by reducing the blur caused during movement of objects. Apart from 16 MP rear cameras, the device comes with 4 Ultrapixel front facing camera, which allows the users to take a perfect selfie. In terms of camera, the device doesn’t drown us even a bit and offer maximum performance till its threshold.

Performance: With Snapdragon 820, the device becomes a beast with rich-in-class specification. The device is considered to be one of the best powerful smartphones of the year 2016. The more interesting part is that, the device comes with a configuration of Samsung Galaxy S7 for almost half the price of the device, which makes the people to go for it.
