New York Giants fan torched Tampa Bay Buccaneers $26,000 flag; got arrested

Many news reports alleged that an angry Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan has tried to burn the team’s flag after the Buccaneers lost the match to New York Giants 32-18 on Sunday evening. Later, it has been learnt that the person who tried to burn the flag is a NY Giants’ fan.

When New York Giants beat Tampa Bay Buccaneers  32-18, a Giants fan has attempted to torch a huge Bucs’ flag hoisted at its corporate office, near Raymond James stadium. The $26,000 flag was made using a fire-retardant material and didn’t catch fire, but only a small portion of it got melted.

According to Tampa police, someone called the police department and informed that someone is trying to torch the Bucs’ 80 feet by 50 feet flag hangs from a 15-story pole located just outside of team’s corporate offices.

Tampa Police arrested New York Giants fan Daniel Justin Raboni, 32, at One Buccaneer Place at 7.30 p.m. the same day. He has been charged for marijuana possession and felony criminal mischief, and later released from Hillsborough County Jail on Monday after submitting a $2,500 bond.
